Hear my prayer, O Lord |
||
| Summary: |
Adapted from Psalm 55 &56, this
songs attempts to capture the sense of hopelessness David felt as evil
surrounded him and as those he considered to be friends betrayed him. Sometimes Christians find themselves in similar situations; but we should remember that looking for God in the midst of trouble will ultimately give us strength and help us to face whatever we may come up against. |

Lyrics: |
Hear my prayer, O Lord; Do not ignore my plea For I am weary and distraught And my mind troubles me. My heart is full of pain And my soul is far from rest, My friends have turned and walked away And my spirit feels oppressed
But O for
the wings of a dove Hear my prayer, O Lord But O for the wings of a dove... For with God by my side
What can man do? To give me the wings of a dove... Lyrics and Music ©2004 Nathan Surgenor |
