Silent the Night |
|
| Summary: |
Does the title seem familiar? This piece is a different take on the
popular carol Silent Night; the original melody remains but the
lyrics have been altered to tell the story of the Magi's visit as well as
Herod's massacre of the innocents and Jesus' escape to Egypt with his
parents. A common theme of 'kingship' has been used in this song to connect the different sections: the kings who came to worship, the king who was a tyrant and Jesus, the King of kings. |
